Former TV presenter's "Don't be noisy" sign erected next to a Westbury, Bristol, school's playground.

IN response to your front page dated March 30 about Graham Purches.

I would like to ask him when he was a child at school did he shout with his mates when they were playing and in the street, did he even think then about the noise on the neighbours? Or did he wear a gag every time he went to school?

I have lived at the back of a school for about the last 30 years and still do. What we do is when they come out for dinner we go in for ours, the same mid-morning and afternoon.

At least you have a hedge and 10 feet from the school, all we have is a wire fence which the children sit right up to when playing.

Does he need the publicity because people have forgotten him now?
