Vt. town doesn't want medical marijuana dispensary

RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) ? The town planning commission in Fair Haven, Vt., says it does not want a medical marijuana dispensary. The Rutland Herald reports (http://bit.ly/SxM0My) commission members say they are working on prohibiting the dispensaries as part of an update to the town's zoning ordinance. The state has approved four medical marijuana dispensaries around Vermont, but also allows towns to opt out. Registered medical marijuana patients can still grow their own plants and become members at other dispensaries. Two dispensaries have been licensed so far in Burlington and Waterbury. ___ Information from: Rutland Herald, http://www.rutlandherald.com/
