Temperatures are expected to be several degrees above normal with highs climbing into the mid-70s later in the week, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters said pockets of patchy, dense fog could be possible for the next few mornings, especially along the coast. Visibility, they added, could drop to about a quarter of a mile in some coastal areas and rural communities. On Tuesday, fog is possible until about 8 a.m. Spots south and southwest of the metropolitan area may be particularly hard hit, said Patrick Blood, a meteorologist with the weather service.
