Indie rockers' pier performance

INDIE rock band The Enemy are the latest in a string of top acts to announce they will be playing on Weston- super-Mare's Grand Pier.

The band – including guitarist Tom Clarke, pictured – which previously supported Oasis on its final UK tour dates, will be arriving in the seaside resort on September 28.

The band sold out the Ricoh arena in their home town of Coventry and are now embarking on a tour with their third album, Streets in the Sky.

It is expected that their new single Saturday will be in the top five, if not at number one, when it is released.

Tickets, which are all standing, cost £17.50 from the Grand Pier shop on the first floor of the Pavilion building.

Tickets are also available from the website www.grandpier.co.uk. Online booking fees many apply.
