Villagers will face Bluebirds in the FA Cup

Yate Town will again begin as underdogs in the next round of the FA Cup after being drawn against Blue Square North side Oxford City in the second qualifying round.

Rob Cousins' Division One (South & West) side started as underdogs in the first qualifying round at Winchester City on Saturday – but booked their place in the next stage after goals from Ollie Barnes and Edd Vahid secured a 2-1 victory over the league leaders.

Yate will now welcome Oxford City, who won promotion to the Blue Square North after winning the Southern League play-off final last season, to Lodge Road on September 22 (3pm) in the second qualifying round.

Clevedon Town, meanwhile, will travel to Southern League Division One (South & West) rivals Didcot Town on the same day after Scott Murray scored four goals in their 5-0 win over Sherborne Town to make progress on Saturday.

Larkhall Athletic, from the Toolstation Premier Division, and Frome Town, of the Evo-Stik Premier Division, replay their first qualifying round tie tonight following a 0-0 draw in Bath on Saturday.

The winners will host Blue Square South side Weston-super-Mare in the next round.

Gloucester City have been drawn at home to Thatcham Town.

The Evo-Stik Division One South and Central outfit will visit the Abbey Business Stadium September 22.

Evo-Stik Southern Premier side Chippenham Town face a trip to Alex Sykes' Bishop's Cleeve, who won 6-0 in their first qualifying round match against Bracknell.

Bath City will be away to the winners of the Plymouth Parkway/Buckland replay

Salisbury City, top of Blue Square Bet South on goal difference, face a trip to the Isle of Wight to play Newport.

Bishop Auckland, amateur giants of the past who reached the Fourth Round Proper in the 1950s, are at home to AFC Fylde, Wembley FA Carlsberg Vase winners as 'Kirkham & Wesham' in 2008. FC United of Manchester, who won 5-0 in front of 1,024 fans at the weekend, travel to Salford City.

Each club that wins a second qualifying round tie will receive £4,500 in prize money.
