Revival of an icon (and a budget alternative)

Barbara Hulanicki is a British fashion icon, who began her career in the 1960s as a freelance fashion illustrator before founding the boutique BIBA in 1964. Her print designs are currently enjoying a critically acclaimed revival thanks to the BIBA collection at House of Fraser – but for those without lots of cash to splash, Barbara Hulanicki for George at Asda is a great alternative. New spring/summer pieces for both collections are now available in store and online. Our favourites are the wrap dress, £18, and chiffon vest, £12, at George, and the bird-printed jersey dress, £89, and blouse, £85, for BIBA (www.barbarahulanickidesign.com).
